Guo Wengui, known as Miles Guo, was a Chinese property billionaire who fled to New York in 2014 and rebuilt himself as a dissident media figure, allied with Steve Bannon and running a network of online platforms.
Convicted in the United States in 2024 of racketeering conspiracy, securities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering over schemes including Himalaya Coin, which took more than $1bn from followers.
